| Where is the Conference Information Center? |
The Welcome Center, located in the Registration area, serves as the information center for the Conference. General information about the city of Fort Worth is available at the Convention Center information booth located in the 12th Street lobby entrance.

| Can I go to any educational session or am I limited to just certain session tracks? |
You are free to attend any of the educational sessions listed in the Conference brochure. However, as a courtesy to the speaker and other attendees, we ask that you do not switch rooms once a session has begun. This is distracting to the speaker and other attendees, and interferes with the audio taping of the session.

| How do I determine which of the educational sessions are approved for Strategic HRCI credit? |
Strategic courses are indicated as so on the educational sessions grid and on the detailed session descriptions in the Conference Brochure.

| I was unable to attend a specific educational session. How can I get one of this speaker’s handouts? |
Most presentations are available on the Conference CD which is distributed in your attendee bag. There is a table set up outside Room 101 for extra educational session handouts when they are available. You may also purchase an audiotape of the session at the Audio Session Recording booth located near Attendee Registration.

| Do I have to be present to win any prizes? |
You must be present to win any of the Super Prize Drawings and the Conference Grand Prize. The announcement times for these drawings are listed in your Conference Brochure. You do not have to be present to win the individual exhibitor prizes. All Silent Auction winning bidders and Exhibitor prize giveaways will be posted on the Prize Board in the Registration Area.

| I can only attend part of the Conference. Can someone else attend the rest of the Conference in my place? |
Partial transfers are not permitted. You may, however, transfer the entire registration to another individual. See our Transfer Policy on the Registration Information page for details. The use of a registered attendee’s Conference Badge by another individual is strictly prohibited.

| I have a co-worker who is considering attending the Conference next year. Can he/she get some information and be allowed to attend an education session or visit the Exhibit Hall to see what it is all about? |
Unfortunately, access to all Conference areas is limited to registered attendees only. However, a One Day registration or EXPO Only pass to the Exhibit Hall may be purchased at Registration. If interested in information about becoming an Exhibitor at next year’s conference, visit the Registration Booth during the Conference or contact our Business Development & Exhibits Director at (214) 631-7476 x 22 or exhibitors@hrsouthwest.com.

| Are additional tickets for the Conference events available for purchase at the Convention Center? |
A guest pass to attend the Tuesday Welcome Reception and Thursday evening event may be purchased at Registration. There are no “guest” tickets available for the Keynote or Educational Session presentations.

| Where am I permitted to smoke? |
Smoking is prohibited inside the Convention Center and at all Conference events.
|
| Will the shuttle buses be running at night? |
Yes. The shuttle will operate between the Conference hotels and the Convention Center on Tuesday evening until 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday evening until 8:45 p.m., and Thursday evening until 8:15 p.m.

| If I miss the bus, what are my options for transportation? |
Some hotels provide their own shuttle service. Check with your hotel to determine availability. If unavailable, Yellow Cab can be reached at (817) 426-6262.

| Can I store my luggage on-site at the Conference? |
Yes, on-site luggage storage is available on Friday only in the Registration area.
|
| Where is the nearest pharmacy? |
There is a Walgreen’s at 921 Henderson Street located at Henderson and Texas, just south of 7th and west of downtown. Their phone number is (817) 885-8558. (This is not walking distance from Convention Center or Conference Hotels). There is a Sundry Mart on 6th Street between Houston & Throckmorton that stocks essentials.

| Is there an ATM available? |
Yes. There are two ATMs in the Convention Center, located at the 9th Street Arena Lobby and the 12th Street Lobby.

| Where is the Lost and Found? |
Lost items are kept in the Registration area during the Conference and then returned to the HR SOUTHWEST office in Dallas,TX. Please call (214) 631-7476 ext. 22 to verify that we have your item and make arrangements for pick up.

| Where are the Conference Evaluation Forms? |
Educational session evaluation forms are distributed and collected during each session. A full Conference evaluation will be e-mailed to you in early November.

| Are copying services available? |
Yes, the Conference Business Center is located in the Cyber Cafe near the Registration area. Copying services are available for a nominal fee.
|
| How can I join the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter in my area? |
Membership information from participating local chapters will be located in the “SHRM Shack” in the Exhibit Hall on Wednesday and Thursday. You can also find information through the SHRM website at www.shrm.org.
