About The HRSouthwest Conference

The HRSouthwest Conference (HRSWC), founded in 1941, has evolved into the largest gathering of human resource professionals in the nation. With over 100 educational sessions, an exhibit hall of more than 200 vendors, and nationally renowned keynote speakers, it is recognized as one of the premier human resource events of the year.

During the 2-1/2 day event, our attendees and exhibitors have many resources available to network with the more than 1,700 HR professionals, interact with the outstanding lineup of educational speakers and learn about the new products and services available.

While recognized as the Official State of Texas SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) Conference, professionals from 36 US states attended the 2012 Conference. We've also had guests from Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Pakistan and even Qatar! Our student sponsorship program funded over 60 HR student attendees through contributions made by organizations and individuals who wish to support the development of the next generation of HR professionals.

This Conference does not happen all by itself, or with the small paid staff employed by HRSWC. Over 100 volunteers put in many long hours to plan this event annually. All our volunteers are members of Texas affiliated SHRM Chapters and the dedication to their peers and the profession is apparent when you attend the Conference.

In 1994, The Conference was moved to Fort Worth to accommodate further growth and will remain in Fort Worth over the next few years. Fort Worth provides ample hotel rooms in the Downtown area and provides many safe options for after-hour activities.
