The HRSouthwest Conference Committees
Qualifications: Must be a member in good standing of any Texas State SHRM Chapter
Bookstore: This committee is responsible for selecting the books and promotional items available in The HRSouthwest Conference Bookstore; sets up inventory and operates the Bookstore during the Conference; organizes the "close" of the Bookstore at the end of the Conference.
College Relations: This team markets The Conference to students, solicit student sponsorships, coordinates the scholarship program and conducts student orientation at The Conference.
Educational Sessions: This committee selects the educational session speakers, develops the Conference educational programs, recruits facilitator to introduce speakers and open the sessions, handles all communication between The HRSouthwest Conference and the speakers before, during and after the Conference, and coordinates audio-visual requirements and pre-conference workshops.
On-Site Communications: This committee is responsible for on-site registration, security, photographer, coordination of on-site sign development and placement, phones, internet, and coordination of business service center.
Special Events: This committee coordinates all entertainment, decorations, Conference prize giveaways, including the Grand Prize and Silent Auction (supporting our student sponsorship winners). They also oversee the food/beverage and plant selection.

Other Opportunities to Volunteer
