Keynote Speaker Selection Process

Each year our attendees have an opportunity to see premiere speakers at our daily keynote sessions. The HRSouthwest Conference audience has had the opportunity to hear from heads of state, first ladies, military commanders, comedians, artists, international news journalists, tragedy survivors, photographers, just to name a few. The keynote speakers have touched our hearts, given us tools to make us stronger leaders and tickled our funny bones.

The selection process for Conference keynote speakers begins more than one year in advance. While selecting these speakers, considerations such as the theme of the Conference, hot topics in the Human Resources industry, and personal/professional motivational subjects are the driving factors. The Conference works with various speaker bureaus to identify keynotes that deliver outstanding presentations that "wow" our attendees.

Keynote Presenters

Our Keynote Presenters are carefully selected each year and must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

• Speaker has not presented an educational session at The HRSouthwest Conference in the past two years.
• Speaker has not presented at another regional SHRM Conference or National SHRM Conference in the past two years.
• Speaker has presented previously to an audience of similar size (2000 + people).
• Speaker has sufficient experience and/or designations as a keynote speaker on a topic that is pertinent to our audience.
